Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer (Proxmox VE)

Are you an experienced Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer with broad knowledge of storage, networking, and data center infrastructure? At Epact, we believe that Proxmox VE is a robust and future-proof alternative to VMware. That is why we are heavily investing in expertise, implementations, and managed services surrounding Proxmox, Ceph, Dell infrastructure, and Veeam.

What will you be doing?

As a Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and support modern data center solutions for our clients. You will primarily work with:

• Proxmox VE
• Ceph Software Defined Storage
• Dell servers, networking, firewalling, and storage
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Datacenter networking
• Linux & Windows OS

You will guide clients through migration and implementation projects, ensuring high-quality delivery. For us, however, a project doesn't end with the installation. We believe that accurate documentation, knowledge transfer, and a smooth handover to our operational teams are just as important as the technical implementation itself.

In addition to client projects, we also build and manage our own geo-redundant cloud platforms across various datacenters. You won't just be working on client environments; you will also help with the further development, maintenance, and automation of our own infrastructure. In this, precise documentation, standardization, and team collaboration are essential.

Cloud-in-a-Box

A large portion of our projects is evolving toward our Cloud-in-a-Box service offering. In this model, we don't just support clients during implementation; we also provide:

• Service desk support
• Proactive monitoring
• Operational management
• Periodic patching
• Lifecycle management of the entire infrastructure

Automation plays a key role in this. Experience with Ansible, Zabbix, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages is a plus. Don't have that knowledge yet? We are happy to invest in your further training.
